Hi everyone today over at La La Land Crafts the theme this week is..

"THE GREAT OUTDOORS"

I have used Luka with Balloon , HERE and HERE along with the Tyre Swing - HERE and Clouds-HERE all of these images were merged together with photoshop.

I then came across this quote and was able to copy and paste it onto blending paper along with the merged images so that I was able to colour/draw in my grass.

It seems all I'm doing lately is making cards for the design teams I'm on, so this card is just for no particular reason other then just playing and colouring,

plus OK.... I did want to try out my brand NEW goodies, lol....

Is this lil girl Wryn from Tiddly Inks the cutest, had to have her and a few of her friends... then I just I had to team her up with another 2 of my

NEW Memory Box Dies from Bizzy Becs online store....Here

I coloured the Spring Border Memory Box die with alcohol inks, placed green card behind the Flower Mould Memory Box Die ( gorgeous die isn't it)and used a Tim Holtz tree Die cut out on music DP paper, butterfly is a MS punch also coloured with Alcohol Inks....and a little sewing.

I have purposely left off a sentiment so that I can use this for any occasion when needed....

When I saw this fab new image of Lily's I just saw the Movie "Welcome to Pleasantville".
For those who have not seen the movie here is a little blurb about it...

In the universe of "Pleasantville", a black-and-white Fifties sitcom, life is... pleasant. The high school basketball team never misses a shot, nothing ever catches on fire (consequently, the firemen only rescue cats stuck in trees), husband and wives sleep in separate beds, high school sweethearts go no further than holding hands and getting 'pinned', and everything is in varying shades of gray!!!!

My card is the part where the Mum starts to get colour on her face and then sees red roses- Im sure you know the rest... if you have seen the movie....?????

Hi Everyone, I been having a play with my Maggies, may just be because I just got 2 new Magnolia Magazines, Chocolate Dreams and Sweet Christmas Dreams!!!!.

Tilda holding Egg Basket is this lil Maggies name and she came from Bizzy Becs Online Store, if you cant find her I'm sure Bec can help you out.

She did have eggs in her basket but I put in some little hearts instead, they come as pearl white hearts and I coloured them with copics. The little pearl hearts are also available from Bizzy Becs.

Hi Everyone, Its time for a New Challenge this month over at
Bizzy Becs Challenge Blog.

The theme this month is Circles...You can create something that has circles in it.. These can also be scalloped circles.. Or the pattern paper could have circles on it.. easy hey!

I have used a Kenny K image on my card called- Queens Cutie love this gal...You can get her HERE..
I decided to cut out lots of different size circles for my background and to give the impression of hills,sun, foliage for my tree etc... and the lace is my grass. All the edges of the paper, including my fence where distressed and inked with DI walnut stain.

Ohhhhh my, I don't think this was what Little Red expected when she set off for a visit to Grandma's House...but it's OK as we all know there was a happy ending, lol...

On my card I have used quite a few of The Octopode Factory images- House, Wolf, Red Riding Hood, Sun, Flowers and patterned B/W border along with a Dylusions leaf stamp and Magnolia bird to create my little Fairy Tale scene.

Isn't this girl from Bizzy Becs Blue Butterfly Birthday Digi Collection HERE just so retro looking that I just had to have her standing in a kitchen looking so pleased as punch with her baking!
I have used Cupcake Anyone along with Kaiser papers and Magnolia kitchen stamp. I cut out the mix master, scales and plates from the paper and placed them onto the recipe background paper to create my tag. The quote is also from the paper pad but I added a red heart to it.The dots on her dress are from a white gel pen.

Its challenge time for Group B over at The Emerald Faerie Challenge Blog and we would love to see your creations using "Flowers,Flowers, Flowers" on your creation.
I have used the gorgeous little faeire EBONY" without her mushroom and placed her in/on the birdcage along with leaf and butterfly punch, lace and a leafy swirl flourish along with the crochet flower handmade from lovely Sally.
I actually don't have or use a lot of flowers on my cards, they just never seem to look right when I use them, I look at others cards and think WOW when I see all the flowers they use and how fabulous their cards look .... so I took myself off to my local Scap shop that also happens to be closing this week to get some., Lucky for me everything in the shop was 30% off so I stocked up on "lots" of readymade flowers along with some flower punches in case I ever need to use lots of flowers again.!!!!
The Dt gals have created some absolutely beautiful inspirational creations for you so pop on over for a look.

I have used a combination of images on my card....

"Make it Crafty"- Mushroom House...."Tiddlyinks"- Twisted Tree and Moon....

I layered the trees thru photoshop onto Tim Holtz paper for my background before adding the rest of the images.

I used Copics, Prisma pencils and white gel pen to colour my images.

Time is Fleeting..

I'm sure you have recognised the 3 lines on my tag/card and if you are like me you are probably singing along.... mmmm ...that's only if you remember this movie that for a while had such a cult following. When it first came out it was so unusual and so out there that one just had to love it. Yes of course it from the the movie, "Rocky Horror Picture Show".... "Time Warp" and the opening lines are from Riff Raff. This fab gal is "Magenta"( riff raffs sister in the movie) from the Octopode Factory.

I got all inky and messy once again to create my papers plus added a little glitter and pearl ex powders along with Time Holtz clock die ,music note and my grungy splotchy stamp- love this!!! and my new Dylusions stamps!- around the border.

Beauty of the Soul

Girls and Pearls is the new monthly challenge over at Bizzy Becs Challenge Blog and I have used one of my favourite girly image " all that" from Kenny K and is available HERE at Bizzy Becs Online Store.

I went for a little different look this time and printed her out on paper with text and just coloured her skin plus I did add some white gel pen on her shoes, belt and hat.

The background paper is torn strips from a scrap piece of computer paper under something else I was working on when spraying Red Pepper Colour Wash - made for a fabulous BG paper as its quite splotchy in places.

I then added lots of sewing and some left over other scraps strips of paper plus do you see those gorgeous little PEARL HEARTS in the top corner, they are also from Bizzy Becs.

The hearts were hand drawn by yours truly and sprayed with colour wash.

The quote was computer generated and then I ran a black fine pen roughly around the edge.

My other lovely Dt gals have some fab inspiration for you and as always Bec will be offering a wonderful prize.

Hi everyone, This fabulous Girl is called "RAVEN" and is one of the Blue Butterfly Digital available from Bizzy Becs HERE for $2.00.

I used a large playing card for my base, added a piece of card with a stamped image in the centre after masking a circle for the moon and then colouring with distress inks, a MS fence, bat and extra hearts. Words were computer generated.

My background was created using various inks, portfolio crayons, embossing folder and music paper. I also made him a whip with toothpick and cotton.

Hi Friends, no card today but I just wanted to share this picture of my beautiful wonderful dog

" MADDE"

of just under 14 years who died this morning , very unexpected and I was just not ready, but her poor old heart gave out on her.

When we get these dogs they become such a part of your family that their leaving has so much impact.

She was the most loyal, friendliest, lovable, remarkable dog who always sat under my feet when I was crafting/creating that it will seem strange her not being there.

Miss you Madde girl, crafting will not be the same without you.

When I saw this image over at the Octopode Factory I just had to have him.

He just looks so much like Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow that's it's amazing!!!

I created my background papers once again with inks and various stamps, shrinky dink protractor became my sun, Hero arts map stamp, plastic number stencil, black sharpie pen for doodled border and Tim Holtz die- Lock and key cut with silver foil, hammered for texture and black paint and treasure gold rubbed over. Quote is computer generated from Pirates of the Caribbean Movie.

Hi Everyone, sometimes its nice just to have a creative play and that's what I did with this.

I found these digi images called "Dilly Beans Images" and I love em!!! in fact recently I have found a few digi image sites with some real quirky images that I have just had to have..... must be that other strange side coming out in me!!!

As you have read a few times lately I have decided to get back to making my own papers and generally just getting a little messy and dirty with inks, paints and other mediums as I want to have a try at creating an "art journal" as well as being able to add lots of interesting textures to my cards.

These Alice in wonderland images were great to colour and I added a few extra elements as in tree and leaves stamped and inked onto book pages, taking B/W paper and changing the colour and adding other stamps, plus I even did some doodling around the edge just for some fun.

Hi Everyone, When I first saw these images of Goth Angel and Draco Goth I was soooo in love with them- are they not Fantastic.

These images and others are available at Bizzy Becs store for $2.00 each untill the 31st October'

I have been into making my own background papers lately and here is another one using Distress inks, various stamps and embossing , a bit of paper peicing for her dress and gloves, burlap and belnding solution for the wings, cuttlebug di hearts and that wonderful quote, well that is from the Addams Family.

I loved that series when I was a kid and confess I still do- so quirky and so amusing, I dont ever think there will be anything quite like this ever again. This quote came from Wednesday Addams.

It's Release day over at Little Miss Muffet Stamps today and I would like to introduce ....

This is one of "3" new images that have been released today and they are all Great!

As well as using Paprika I have used the Kite from the Monster Winds Image ( Little Miss Muffet).

I airbrushed in the sky along, added ribbon ( was white) that I coloured with my Copic markers for the tail and created my little scene using Make it Crafty- Fence, Gate and Stone Path, plus I added a liitle extra grass.

Today is my very post as a new Dt gal for Little Miss Muffet Stamps.

I was absolutely tickled pink when I recieved an email from Barbara at Forgotton scraps asking me if I would be a part of her team.

I have stalked this lady for sooo long- her colouring and creativeness blows me away and I mean really, who could say no and not want to play and create with her wonderful images.

The challenge this week is "Cutting out of the Frame Die".mmmm I can see some of you wondering what am I talking about- the idea is when you cut out your image, say using a spellbinders nestie some parts are left outside the die-I have included a little Tutorial Link- HERE.. for you to view.

I used a oval Nestabilities to cut around to showcase the one and only.....

Time nearly got away from me with this entry into the Make it Crafty Challenge. I have had this coloured for a while and just realized that the comp finished in a day so I thought I had better get this on my blog, toot sweet......

I am entering this into the Make it Crafty 1st Birthday Celebration- Category 5- use the logo colours, Blue, Mustard/Yellow and Brown to colour an image.

I have teamed Rosie to School from Make it Crafty- I just adore this lil gal , such a fun image to colour and Door to Life from Tiddly Inks to make my card.

Rosie is on a school excursion to visit Zoe's Make it Crafty Shop and too see what goes on behind the scenes.

mmmm..... maybe Rosie will get a sneak peek of some new images !!!!

Images were coloured with Copics, Spica Pens and a brad for the door knob. Oh... and a little pearl for Rosie's earring.

I have left this card quite Clean & Simple with no extra clutter,lol....a little unusual for me....

Butterfly Kisses

Yes...... I,m back. I have recently moved house to a suburb a little further out, Currambine to be exact and just 2 mins from Rhiannon and John and my gorgeous grandson Ayce.

WOW.... what drama is to be had when you build a new house. I have had tradesman in and out for the past 2 weeks, carpet layers, TV men, security doors, the list goes on....... they tell you a time and then either don't come or turn up hours late...grrrrrrrr and yes NO INTERNET!!! darn telstra...

Today I have more tradesman arriving,did not finish the job on Friday and I really need my heating - I,m soooo not good with the cold, plus having the flu for the past few weeks has not helped the situation as well.

I am still finding my way and starting to settle in after being in my old house for 27 years it feels very strange, plus the old house has lots of wonderful memories from the kids as they spent there childhood, teenage and adult years there.

We have decided to keep it and see what happens a bit further down the track- hard to part with, plus I had the most wonderful neighbours that I will miss.

I have a craft room in the new house but I miss the little bar nook that I had in a corner in the lounge room-need to find my mojo that I left behind and some adjusting to do I think..may take a little while.

Anyways enough waffling and onto my card...thank goodness I made this before I left Kingsley...

she is soooo pretty.

The paper behind Poppy was made from serviettes and this one was kindly given to me from a gorgeous lady called Janet. She showed our crafting group how to make them and I think we all rushed out to get some serviettes altough I have yet to sit down and make....

Now here is my Card I made for this wonderful new Release-:

How exciting is this, as well as these Fabulous New Releases this is my very post as a DT gal for The Emerald Faeire Garden, wooo hoooo.

For my card I wanted to have

"EBONY"

in a little field of mushrooms, so after a little cropping and resizing I was able to use the same mushrooms that Ebony is holding on to.

I can tell you I was going to add some windows and doors to the mushrooms but I think my hand drawing needs lots of working on .. they looked strange and not what was in my mind at all so left them as is, lol.....

I used the wonderful Flourish sentiment designed by Donna as a part of my sun.

I dont often use Red, Orange and Yellow together but I love the bright effect it made
I used a page from a Storybook of Fairy's and painted over it with gesso as my backgound paper.

This gorgeous girl is from the new Butterfly Collection that is avalable HERE from Bizzy Becs Store and is called

" SUNFLOWER".

I teamed her up with the fabulous Magnolia Background Stamp along with the Digi Ticket Sentiment that is avalable also from Bizzy Bec's.

I paper pieced "Sunflowers" dress, coloured all images with Copic markers, added a button and finished with some glitter to the edges.

Just a quick post today to share today. I love the look of copics on kraft paper, the effect is always so soft,it does take alot more work to blend and it does use alot more of your ink, I think so anyway.

I have used a Hanglar Stanglar image along with Cc designs Mushroom, MS grass punch and my fab Magnolia Doo-hickey Die.

Who could resist these Fabulous spites " Boo and Snookie" Folk from over at The Emerald Faeries, not me that's who!!! I just love them, they are just so cute!!!!

I have teamed them up with a swiss pixies mushroom stamp, A Cheery Lynn Design Die from over at Bizzy Becs, some gauze, Tim Holtz fence die,Fern Leaf punch, and a collections chipboard bird that I coloured with Perfect Pearls, I love the shimmery effect you get, plus I added lots of Spica for that added bling!.....

Ever had one of those days when things are not going right and everything that can go wrong will do.

When I came across this quote/sentiment, I just new the image I wanted it to go with, Gruffy Little Gnome ... from Meljen's Designs at Whimsy Stamps and Slimey House from Make it Crafty.

I have placed it inside a picture frame and it will sit in my new Kitchen(not long now- wooohooo) for if I am Having..

a just Nod and Smile kind of Day!

I used different sizes and coloured single letters to make the quote

The gorgeous swirly die cuts are from Bizzy Becs and the Fence is a Tim Holtz Die and grass is a Martha Stewart Punch and the images were coloured with Copics and Distress Inks on the dies.

Sweet Spring

I have been hanging out to play with my New Magnolia Stamps that I got from Bizzy Bec's and what better time to ink them up for this

Months Challenge "Just add LACE" here...at Bizzy Bec's Challenge Blog.

The Car, Spring Background and Tilda plus the Ticket tag are all from HERE ...at Bec's BB online store.

This month we have another fab prize up for grabs that you wont want to miss out on.

I wanted to try something a little different for my card. I wanted the background to be just that in the background so coloured it with my Warm greys and and a touch of YG91.The car I stamped onto Kraft card and some shimmery card and added just a little depth with my warm greys once again. By colouring Tilda with a brighter colour-YR"s I was able to make her (I think, I hope!!!) the focal point of my card.I also could not resist using my new Tim Holtz die that seemed to fit perfectly behind my BG image along with some cotton gauze and lace for a soft effect.......

This cute image is from The Emerald Faerie and I just fell in love with it when i saw it, so whimsical and it makes me thinks of a little sprite you may find in a Secret garden....I coloured Ebony with Copics and Spica pens and I used Distress inks around the edges of my card, ticket tag and over the lace.The gorgeous leafy swirl is a die from over at Bizzy Becs and just added that soft touch I needed for my tag along with my other embellishments.

I have made this tag for no particular reason other then I love this gal -Club Kid from Kenny K, she has such a Sassy Attitude and is really a lot of fun to create with .I stamped a music stamp onto canvas material, stamped the TPS guitar on glossy card and then used alcohol inks to colour, Tim Holtz Tags and paper ribbon tape,Sixxix Star die, Spellbinders Decorative Tag from Bizzy Becs and the red gingham paper is made from a Darkroom door Stamp using Distress inks on white card.

Today I have another Fabulous image to show that is a digital image from the new Collection of "Pin Up Girls from none other then Bizzy Becs and is avalable now!!!!

The first thing that came to mind when I first saw Ginger was that she would look perfect on a T/Shirt.

I found a template on the net for the shirt, photoshop layered in a blue background paper,layered in a pocket and a spider image I had, added Ginger, printed it out on Blending paper so I would be able to colour with my Copics and of course I needed a quote to go with so.... Homer Simpson was the way to go!!!

Then I added in some puff paint to the top of the glass and then stictched around the edges of my shirt with red cotton and some buttons to finish it off. mmmm.... what male in my house should I give it toooo....

My Handmade Photo Tent

Hi Ladies, I have had a few inquires about my Photo tent that DH and I made so here are the details.

After looking at various photo tents either to make out of cardboard boxes with material or buying professional ones this is what my DH and I came up with.

I have to say this works brilliantly regardless of the either the weather , daytime or nightime!!!!

It was just a few nails to hold the 4 frames approx 25cm by 33 cm together( any size will work) and then it was ready to use. I think it cost me no more then $12.oo, pretty good hey!!!!

I place it as you see it on my craft table, put my Ott/Daylight Light over the top of the gap with light shining down and angle my card at the back (ie... top of card leaning on photo tent and the bottom slightly angled out from the tent) hope that makes sense...... so the light picks up the shimmer.

I took the photos of my tag ( post below) at 11pm at night and as you can see the photos come out great. The canvas frames I used are only thin but I dont think it matters if you cant find the these, Im sure thick canvas ones will do the same you just may need longer nails and what ever size you can find. I found the size above was perfect for what I needed for my cards. But if you need to Photograph scrapbook pages then of course you will need bigger.

I found mine at a cheap art place over here. So as you can see easy to make and works effectively.

If you make a canvas frame photo tent I would love to hear back from you as Im sure DH would love to get some recognition ( just in case I need him to make more things for me, bahaha)

Just a quick post as I am a little surprised with this tag, Why u ask, because its a Christmas Tag!!!! I cant believe I have started on Christmas.I have had this stamp- Lil Lad Frankie for a while waiting to be inked up and I am going to enter this into Tickled Pink Christmas Challenge , its a good way to start on my Christmas cards without that mad rush at the end of the year. I have used lots of glitter and spica pens, gotta love them and I have worked out how to finally photograph it so the shimmer shows.

I had hubby make me a photo tent. I purchased 4 medium canvas frames and then he nailed them all together, Ott light over the top and no matter what the light- day, cloudy,night all photos come out really well. So very easy to make.If you would like a photo of my tent to make your own please let me know.
